  1. "Take it all back. Life is boring, except for flowers, sunshine, your perfect legs. A glass of cold water when you are really thirsty. The way bodies fit together. Fresh and young and sweet. Coffee in the morning. These are just moments. I struggle with the in-betweens. I just want to never stop loving like there is nothing else to do, because what else is there to do?"

  1. Out of the Labyrinth

The ending scene of Russian Doll is so incredibly significant, and I haven’t seen anyone address it yet.

That parade is meant to be a Bacchanal.

The episode title isn’t “Ariadne” for no reason. In the myth of the Labyrinth, Theseus only gets through with Ariadne’s help, but he leaves her stranded on an island after they escape. Ariadne only gets her happy ending when Dionysus and his traveling party find her and bring her with them.

To me, the ending is a lot more unambiguous than it seems.

Nadia and Alan are each other’s Ariadne. They helped each other out of the Labyrinth, and that parade signifies that they’re truly out of the maze, that they get their happy ending.
